PLANT AND MACHINERY
Orteco Pile Drivers
PPS own multiple Orteco pile drivers.
These machines are intended to drive steel piles into the ground by using a percussion hammer and the machine is set on tracks for easy maneuverability. Our machines are widely used in our installation of road safety barriers for driving in guardrail steel posts and steel sockets for wire rope barriers. The self-propelled crawler mounted pile driver is designed for heavy and continuous workloads and with great precision. Our machines can be solely operated.
Swaging and Tensioning Machines
PPS own our all-speciality swaging and tensioning equipment.
Owning these speciality machines means we have them readily available at our disposal and makes for a more efficient way of swaging and tensioning wire rope cables efficiently.
Our Tensioning machine is a portable device placed on a cable and tension measured and set to the torque required for the air ambience and required standards and used on our wire rope barrier installations.
Our Swaging machine is another portable device used to attach end fittings to a wire rope cable. A critical part of the performance of a wire rope safety barrier system requires the use of swaged fittings (swagers) which provides a secure attachment to the cable.
Hydro
Excavation Truck
One of our newest editions is a Fuso hydro excavation truck.
The truck eliminates major down time by safely locating underground services and is available on demand. This hydro excavation truck has proven to be invaluable to our services provided on any project we are involved in. PPS also hire the truck with an operator for services outside our own project work.
Heavy Duty Excavators
PPS own multiple sized excavators, ranging from 1.7 tonne to 8.5 tonne. These are essential heavy equipment that work on our construction projects.
Excavators are used for earthmoving, cut and fill, digging, trenching, lifting, post ramming and excavating. Our excavators are equipped with various attachments suitable for the task on hand and maintained and serviced to always keep fully operational and safe. Various attachments include four hydraulically driven drill rigs specialised for the concrete foundation system of the wire rope safety barriers.
Transporter Trucks
PPS have two transporter trucks, one 6m and one 12m flat deck capable of transporting up to 12 tonnes. Our transporters are used for establishing and disestablishing off road plant and equipment to site and the cartage of materials supplied on projects.
Tractors
Our multiple tractors are all equipped with the latest models of fence pro, post rammers and loader attachments. The tractors are most used in our rural fencing projects but not limited to.
Ancillary Plant
Our range of ancillary plant to assist us in our project works also include tip trucks, forklifts, tool trucks and side by side Yamaha viking.
